Due to a growing family, and an increased desire for more space to allow for the complexities of teenage life, this gable end extension provides a better connection to the garden and takes full advantage of the far-reaching rural landscape views.

 

The concept is to maintain the existing single storey kitchen roofline, and to wrap this with a new timber façade whilst increasing the footprint. This will provide a larger kitchen with key openings to the views; a new utility and WC/shower room; and creating a definite connection from the kitchen to the living room internally. The rear elevation proposes a large box dormer extension at first floor level, providing a new bedroom and opening up the aspect to the landscape beyond.
