Contemporary rear kitchen extension to a Listed house in the St. Briavels Conservation Area, in the lower Wye Valley AONB. 

 

The proposal includes the removal of an existing, poorly constructed 

conservatory, and the construction of a new zinc single storey rear extension.

 

The extension is to house a new open plan kitchen, dining and living space (with double height mezzanine over kitchen), and level access to an external courtyard and terrace. The architectural intent is to provide a new addition to the listed cottage which both contrasts and compliments the cottage's original features, allowing both the old and new to harmoniously sit alongside one another.
