Beechenhurst lies in the heart of the Forest of Dean as one of many lodges owned by the Foresty Commission. Beechenhurst Lodge Cafe is the starting point for the famous Sculpture Trail, attracting visitors to explore the surrounding walks and family cycle trails. Hills+Co. collaborated with local independent businesses from the hospitality and tourism sector in the cafe refurbishment tender.

The interior proposal integrated the Foresty Commission brand indentity using a muted pallete of different hues of green in addition to a variety of wood textures. Reclaimed and industrial finishes leant themselves naturally to the context and customer base of walkers, mountain bikers and families.

 

A variety of creative customisable display options were explored as signposts for tourist information.
